The Throwback Thursday spot goes to none other than one of the most eclectic female mc's Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliot. Her video for The Rain served as an incredible stepping stone for her career as the single helped to take her album Supa Dupa Fly to certified platinum status. Missy is the only female rapper to have six albums certified platinum, including one double platinum for her 2002 album Under Construction. The video was directed by Hype Williams.
